It's rare I don't finish a project - but this poor girl has been hanging around since September and I decided to have a purge and complete her! She's another of my Nursery Crymes designs.
I finished the stitching and started to put her into a panel for a cushion.
She was designed as an outline project, but I got a bit bored and decided to partly complete her with some more interesting filling stitches and leave other parts clear. I quite like the effect. She should make a good companion to
Red Riding Hood and
Miss Muffett!
It is a very cute project. I am glad you decided to finish it
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I like the effect too. Is that a padded satin stitch you used for her hair? Her hair is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI agree - it's all very well to talk of the purity of line, but sometimes you just have to go ahead and add some colour and form!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful and how nice to have her stitching finished. Creative Blissful Stitching...
ReplyDeletethis is delightful, we are never too old for nursery rhymes are we
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel good to finish something that has been hanging around? Well worth your time and effort Jules.
