I had such a lovely surprise this week. A parcel arrived, from my blogging friend Shell at The Raspberry Rabbits. Inside was this beautiful pair of embroidery scissors with the handles shaped like a leaping rabbit, attached to a gorgeous pincushion.
I'd commented a while ago on how beautiful these were - and I really did love them, as I'd never seen anything quite like this before. My stitching accessories tend to be whatever is the best bargain at the time, but I do so love beautiful things.
Imagine my delight and surprise to receive this pair as a gift from Shell. She was one of the very first friends that I made through the Internet and was so supportive when I began blogging. She's a really kind and generous person, with a terrific sense of humour! Although we've never met face to face I know that she is someone I would love to spend time with and we'd have great fun.
Shell's a really talented stitchery and quilting designer, and is highly skilled in interior design too.
(I look at the pictures of her lovely home and sigh!) Oh, and she is also passionate about bunnies, and has two gorgeous lops, Razzy and Sugie who are extremely clever - as they often write blog posts themselves!
If you haven't hopped across to the Raspberry Rabbits, please do. Shell has a wonderful blog which is full of beautiful things, generous giveaways - and loads of fun!
I am so grateful for the Internet, and the chance it gives us to make such wonderful friends.
Thank you so much Shell! I really feel I am so lucky in having your friendship.

ReplyDeleteOh, that's so lovely! I'll go across to visit her blog now :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the pincusion with scizzors attached. I find one is always disconnected from the other. I am going to check out her blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting. That combo looks so you Jules!
