Signs of spring at last

Happy Easter everyone!

I had a break of a couple of days this week, two of Andy's cousins and their friend came to visit from Argentina. We had a wonderful time, despite the bitter cold weather and the language barrier on occasion. We all had loads of fun finding the right words in English/Spanish at times and lots of charades/sign language with Mucha who does not speak any English. But it wasn't necessary as she had the most wonderful sense of humour and we all laughed so much!  I showed them around the Kings Weston estate where finally, spring is beginning to appear.

The tree buds are breaking at last. Looking closely, the colour, textures and shapes are amazing.

The daffodils are usually in full bloom by now. They are just coming out and  look almost scared to hold their heads up - but at least they are blooming at last!

Enjoy the Easter Bank Holiday break!

  1. Happy Easter Jules! Sounds like you had such a nice break! I am so happy it is spring, so nice to see the daffodils. Ours are right on time but everything else seems to be getting off to a slow start.

  3. Glad that you had a lovely time. Yes I hope so that spring is on the way too. At least it feels like spring today with plenty of sunshine whole day.
