Creative Embroidery

My creative embroidery course started on Tuesday night. I was a bit anxious as I am the newbie, and I had already seen, (and was in awe of!) some of the wonderful work the class has produced. Well, I had such a good time. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and I'm really looking forward to getting to grips with taking my stitching further and learning some wonderful new techniques.

I took along my latest " stumpwork" picture to have something to do on the first evening, but was too busy chatting and looking at wonderful examples of stitching to do much!

Jill, the tutor is great and she has already given me a "lucky dip" bag of fabrics and threads to do a project - which will start me off nicely, if only I can come up with some inspiration!

If I feel brave enough I may tackle this term's project which is a birthday book. Jill had brought her ideas and preliminary work along, which were fantastic. I am going to have to ask the ladies if they mind me bringing my camera and taking some shots of their work for the blog.

My main problem at the moment is that I'm still working full time, and I'm so shattered when I get home that I'm not doing much in the evenings, hopefully not for much longer though! My escape plan is being put into motion........................

  3. I do love the photos and your embroidery works. I do hope you get to add a little time to your days so you can stitch. It is important to your spirit and soul to let it feed on special things you enjoy doing. But have you noticed that is what we always leave out of our crowded days. Enjoy your blogging. Rene Orgeron
